Alex Kazantsev is an Account Executive Lead within the Alliant Specialty Energy and Marine Practice. In this role, he is responsible for advising clients on topics related to program design, marketing strategy, exposure analysis, as well as contractual risk transfer.

Prior to joining Alliant, Alex had spent 7 years with a large international brokerage firm working throughout the world on a variety of energy development and construction projects, which included major interstate oil and gas pipelines, LNG facilities, and petrochemical complexes. Over the years he’s gained significant experience in negotiating coverage terms with diverse project stakeholders spanning from contractors to technology providers to lenders. Alex has been involved in handling both operational and construction programs and has an in-depth understanding of phase transition risks, transfer of title issues, and financing factors that drive insurance buying decisions at different stages of an asset life cycle.

Alex received his Bachelor’s degree in International Economics from MGIMO-University and his Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Lomonosov Moscow State University. Alex is a licensed insurance broker and holds an OIL Technical Accreditation.
